There are only 398 days left until the 2013 National Jamboree!

Dear Montana Jamboree Scouts and Scouters:

Montana and National teams are busy planning and preparing for the Jamboree. The Montana contingent has begun working on a calendar of events for the next 398 days. Check out the Montana Jamboree website periodically for updates (

Make sure and mark your calendar with the following important dates:

  • August 15, 2012 is the deadline for Youth Leadership Position Applications and 3rd Assistant Scoutmaster Applications. It will soon be time to select the Senior Patrol Leader and Assistant Senior Patrol leader for each troop as well as other senior leaders. Please take a moment to apply if you are interested. If you know anyone who will be 18 – 21 years old in July of 2013 and wants to attend the Jamboree, encourage them to complete a 3rd Assistant Scoutmaster Application.   • September 7, 8 and 9, 2012 – Jamboree Campout at K-M, all Boy Scouts and Venturers are welcome to attend. This will be a chance for everyone to get to know each other as the Scouts will be divided into troops and patrols. The senior Troop leaders will be announced. Parents are welcome to camp at K-M or can stay in Lewistown. Bring your camp gear. More information will be posted on the Montana Jamboree website.
  • June 14, 15 and 16, 2013 –Jamboree Shakedown Campout at the Council office in Great Falls. This is a mandatory campout for all Boy Scouts and Venturers attending Jamboree. More details will follow in early 2013.
